We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join us full time

💷 £30,000 per year (negotiable for the right person)

We’re on the hunt for a solid Sous Chef.

Not just someone who’s “helped out in the kitchen once or twice,” but someone who can lead a service, handle the heat, and still plate beautifully under pressure.

We create seasonal dishes using fresh Kentish produce – no microwaves, no shortcuts, no nonsense. If you get excited about heritage carrots, wild garlic, or a slow-braised lamb shoulder, we might just get along.

🧑🏼‍🍳 What we need from you:
• Proven experience in a proper kitchen – ideally gastropub or restaurant level, but if you know what you’re doing, we’re listening.
• The confidence and competence to run service solo when needed.
• A genuine love for fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful cooking.
• Your own transport – we’re a beautiful spot, but buses don’t love us.

🌿 What you’ll get:
• A creative and supportive kitchen environment.
• Freedom to have input on menus – including seasonal changes and event planning.
• £30k salary (negotiable if you’re the real deal).
• A solid team, good people, and a cracking view of the quay.
